Family Tree

Spettigue Family

The earliest known person is John SPETTIGUE whose son Timothy was baptised at Luffincott, Devon, in 1610. Most of the family remained on the Devon/Cornwall border, though there are some descendants in Canada. There are still Spettigues from this family in Cornwall today.

Some of the descendants of Silvester SPETTIGUE, who married in 1696, are also known, but despite being in adjacent parishes these two branches of the Spettigue family have no proven connection.

Families that are related to the Spettigue family are:

BICKLE, BUDLEY, CURTIS, ESSERY, FELTON HATCH, MARTYN, PALMER, POTTER, SKINNER, STACEY, SWINE, VENNER,
VENNING-(all in Devon and/or Cornwall),
